1996 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

Dark red-ruby. Aromas of cassis, minerals, black pepper, tobacco and leather; not for the brett-averse. Very rich, supple and layered; cleaner in the mouth than on the nose. Has the texture and restrained sweetness of a Bordeaux. Finishes with a very faint dry edge, but ripe acids and suave tannins will not stand in the way of early enjoyment.
