Tasting notes
Drink 0-0, Jancis Robinson MW, Sep 2019

50% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet. Ripe and with some hints of dried fruit, a little bit meaty, but less so than the first bottle. The fruit seems to have been ripe but it is dry in the tannins. This second bottle also seems a little off colour. So I prefer not to score it. (JH)

This well-known property in Mèdoc produces a wine from just two grapes – Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. A lush, sexy style of Haut-Mèdoc, D’Agassac’s 2012 is round, juicy, seductive and best drunk over the 7-8 years.

Fragrant – floral and spicy. Blackcurrant fruit, as expected. Medium body and medium length – the fragrance doesn't hold on for long, but it certainly lifts the nose. (RH)
