Tasting notes
Their luxury cuvée, the 2012 Prima, is 100% Merlot. This is a fleshier, more opulently textured, medium to full-bodied wine with loads of cassis, kirsch, licorice and spice. It is plump, round, generous and could easily pass for a top-notch Pomerol in a blind tasting. This is juicy, well-endowed stuff that should drink nicely for 7-10 years. A sleeper of the vintage.

Deep cherry crimson. Bright cassis and sweet oak spice on the nose. Hint of mocha. Toasty oak on the palate is marked but does not overwhelm the fruit. Fresh and juicy and sustained. Chewy but not tough. (JH)
