Melon, grapefruit and lemon zest notes are present in this medium-bodied, dry, refreshing white.
This is a vivacious Bordeaux white made up of two-thirds Sauvignon Blanc and one-third Semillon. The flavours just out of the glass, filling the nose with aromas of passionfruit and fresh herbs. A lively freshness and depth of flavours was added by the Muscadelle which received good ripeness levels in 2010. Seventy percent of this wine was barrel matured while the remaining was only matured in tanks. 1990 was the official first release of this wine and on average about 1500 cases are produced annually. Ch. Lynch-Bages is one of the largest and best properties in Pauillac, in the Médoc. While officially classified as a Fifth Growth estate, it regularly competes with the First and Second Growths when it comes to quality and ageability.
