The 1989 Guigal Côte Rôtie La Turque revealed a more linear, medium bodied personality, with attractive smoke, earthiness, herbs and sweet dark fruit. (AG)

Perhaps the best of these three for drinking now. Creaming along in a rich, round idiom. Sends out very strong signals. Complete and sweet and still quite lively. Burly. Already pretty mature but very impressively persistent. (JR)

Muddy, quite deep, but definitely brown on the rim. Leather, nuts, very evolved nose and a slight hint of iron. Very attractive now. Rich and round and long and fully opulent and developed. Tannins quite ripe. (JR)
