Tasting notes
Very light nose. Dull, stolid fruit. No lift. Rather mired in tannins. (JR)

Deep but slightly dull dark crimson. Very low-key 'red wine' nose. Brutal, not at all sweet or fruity, a bit anodyne in flavour. Chewy finish. Definitely a brute. (JR)
I suspect this property could produce even better wines than it does, but there is no denying the charming, open-knit style of Couvent des Jacobins. A deep ruby/purple color is accompanied by sweet aromas of earth-infused herbs and black cherries. This lush offering will provide straightforward, plump, fruity enjoyment over the next 12 years.
