Tasting notes
Medium-deep red. Decadent red fruits, smoke and underbrush on the nose, plus a hint of pepper. An expressive midweight and a point today, offering flavors of spices, pepper and exotic flowers. Cleanly made but possesses only modest depth. The wine's slightly green tannins suggest incomplete ripeness. Less impressive than it was on release.

Good deep red. Sappy, pure aromas of black cherry and minerals. A step up in sweetness and fleshiness from the foregoing samples; generous, pliant and broad wine, with lovely floral lift to its intense cherry and raspberry flavors. Finishes with a fine dusting of tannins and lovely lingering sweetness of fruit. A superb 2004.
Good bright red. Enticing aromas of red cherry, raspberry, spices, smoked meat and minerals. Supple and creamy, with lovely balancing acidity. Comes across as sweeter and more complex than the last few samples-but then this was racked prior to the 2005 harvest and thus seems softer today. Finishes with ripe tannins. This is rich and layered for a 2004.
Saturated and superbly elegant and expressive red fruit aromas that seem to exude an intoxicating mix of Asian spices that perfectly complement the textured, precise and admirably pure middle weight flavors that are beautifully complex and finish with strikingly good length. This is impeccably balanced and very, very Vosne in character. Allen Meadows, Burghound Jan01,2006
