Tasting notes
Very rich and sweet and a little soft, but lots of liquorice and big fruit. Hot and big. (JR)

Deep blackish crimson with a little evolution at the rim. Focussed, concentrated, rather claret-like nose. . A slightly green note. Quite integrated already but with this greenish streak. Not the most intense or sweetest wine, and the tannins are certainly there for future development. Hot finish. More severe than most – the opposite of voluptuous. Straight backs all round. (JR)
A supple, charming, dark ruby/purple-colored wine, Quinta do Vesuvio's 1992 Vintage Port offers excellent concentration, a velvety texture, not much weight or tannin, a precocious, penetrating fragrance, sweet fruit, medium to full body, and a gentle finish. It will drink well young and last for 20 years. Importer: Premium Ports & Madeiras, Sausalito, CA; tel. (415) 331-7656.
Shows a raisin and grape skin aroma. Full-bodied and medium sweet, with astringent tannins. Very young. Still tight and powerful. needs time to mellow. '91/'92 Port retrospective. Best after 2007. 2,000 cases made. – James Suckling , Wine Spectator 2005
