Tasting notes
Medium pale cherry colour. More spicy than Le Village. A slight hint of those 2004 pyrazines but fresh fruit wins out on the finish. Dry tannins on the end. (JH)

A cool and spicy yet ripe nose is composed primarily of earthy red and dark currant aromas. The very round middle weight flavors are succulent and generous with a seductive mouth feel that culminates in a dusty, complex and utterly delicious finish. This is deceptively structured as the mid-palate is soft and lush yet the finish has enough punch and supporting tannin that will permit this to reward 5 to 8 years of cellar time if desired. That said, this opened up quickly and is altogether enjoyable. For those who are long-time fans of the domaine this wine is consistent with the house style and worth considering.
