2002 Bonnes Mares

This was extremely toasty from barrel and while the wood is hardly subtle now that the wine is in bottle, it is not quite so overwhelming. The big and muscular flavors are round, full and rich with good concentration and depth and this finishes with good punch and length. Lovely stuff rendered in a distinctly oaky style that should benefit from 7 to 8 years of bottle age.
