Tasting notes
Rich, flattering fruit inside a pretty firm oaky corset. Uncompromising. Very dry finish. Difficult to see the gentle side of Volnay in this! Savage tannins on the finish. (JR)

(vinified with 20% whole clusters): Medium red. Pure aromas of black cherry, mint and menthol. Supple, dry and broad; offers good texture but this is a rather tight and tannic village Volnay. Finshes with dusty tannins, a lingering note of menthol and strong limestone character.
A notably floral nose combines with fresh, airy and pure red berry fruit aromas that introduce beautifully well-delineated flavors that exude a fine minerality on the energetic, saline and utterly delicious finish. This is a relatively elegant villages that delivers excellent quality for its level. Tasted: Apr 15, 2013. Drink: 2018+
