Disgorged 7 March 2011 presumably. This wine was served blind from magnum at lunch (so no background details were supplied) to celebrate the reference to it in the first James Bond film – and to give us all the most delightful tasting experience. Very fine and deep flavoured. The sort of deep-flavoured champagne that would cure a sore throat with notes of lemon cream. Racy. Complete, still very fresh. On top form. Really refreshing and with great life. So neat! (JR)

Very full and mature. It was served blind but seemed d efinitely Bollinger with its weight and structure. Dense, mature, ‘masculine’ somehow. Strong Pinot Noir character and yet refreshing. Long, very deep and rather old-fashioned, although in the nicest possible way. Sore throat wine. Very neat. 26 Jun 2004 (JR)
