Tasting notes
Pale bright yellow. Pungent aromas of grapefruit pith, sour lemon, lime zest, anise and white and green pepper. Broad, rich and dry on entry, then smooth and refreshing in the middle, with white nectarine and citrus pith flavors joined by positive hints of lemon, dusty herbs and asparagus on the rich, vibrant finish. Not a particularly fleshy style but a classic Marlborough sauvignon blanc.

The 2013 Sauvignon Blanc presents pleasantly intense notes of gooseberries, fresh grass and green apples with hints of capsicum and dill seed. Medium-bodied, crisp and refreshing on the palate thanks to plenty of vibrant citrus and vegetal flavors, it finishes long with some silkiness to the mouthfeel. Drink it now to 2016. Imported by Moet Hennessy USA, New York, NY
Herbal, fresh, zesty. Gooseberries, of course. Pure and rounded, with a makrut-lime sort of bitterness to finish, if you please. Good and pungent, but lacks the complexity and texture of its more sophisticated rivals these days. (RH)
