Score 87-88/100 · Drink 2003-2010, Robert Parker, Apr 2003

A sweet, dense nose of jammy black cherry fruit, currants, mocha, and a hint of fig is enticing in the medium-bodied, lush 2001 Bertineau St.-Vincent. It will provide delicious drinking during its first 5-7 years of life.

Deep, bright ruby. Very ripe but reduced nose. Round and sweet, with lush flavors of black cherry and currant. Somewhat monolithic today but not at all hard; has the stuffing to support its broad tannins.
