Score 90/100 · Drink 2019-2029, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Mar 2019

Pale to medium gold colored, the 2009 Romer du Hayot is scented of tea, straw and fallen leaves with dried mango, preserved lemons and ginger. The palate is rich, mature and savory in the mouth with honey-nut character, finishing just a little flat.

Creamy, powdery nose. Quite tight and focused. Very sweet and not necessarily very complex. But lots of energy and reductive focus here. Long and a rather burnt note on the end. (JR)

Very deft association between Sauvignon musky aromas and fresh white fruits ones, certainly due to the perfect balance of botrytis in the berries, rich and elegant, by far the best ever from this source. But it is safer to wait the bottled wine
