Score 92/100 · Drink 2003-2011, Pierre Rovani, Apr 2003

I know of no better source than Henri Boillot for Meursault Les Cras. The 2001 is liquid elegance. White flowers, spices, chalk, and minerals are found in its complex aromatics. Medium-bodied, it is sublimely refined, beautifully detailed, and deep. Its stone, mineral, crisp pear, and chalk flavors linger in its extended finish. This "strand of pearls" of a wine should be consumed over the next 7-8 years. Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC; tel. (202) 832-9083

Cool aromas of lime, flowers, minerals and mint. Bright and lean, even a bit austere today. Less opulent than the village wine but hiding more than it showing today. Finishes with subtle persistence.
