Tasting notes
The 2010 Sauvignon Voglar is beautiful today, with raw almond, lychee, peach preserves, mint and petrol aromas. This model of elegance is round and delicate on the palate, with sweet herbal tones and crisp white pit fruits. The 2010 finishes remarkably fresh, leaving a tinge of minerality and hints of baked pear to linger. What a beauty.

The 2010 Sauvignon Voglar is exceptional. Stylistically, it is a little less fleshy than some previous vintages, but that doesn't detract from the immense pleasure it provides. White-fleshed fruit, flowers and jasmine all come to life in this gorgeous, totally inviting white. Voglar is a Sauvignon that emphasizes texture and fruit over more typical green aromas and flavors. The 2010 captures all of those qualities in an intense, mineral-driven style that is immensely appealing. Aging in acacia casks gives the Voglar much of its understated personality. The 2010 is a stunning wine from Peter Di Poli, and one of the finest vintages of Voglar I can remember tasting.
