2002 Gabbro

The 2002 Gabbro, my personal favorite here, adds, for the first time, Montepulciano to the former Sangiovese-Cabernet blend. The superbly focused red currant and cassis fruit, intense and penetrating in its aromatic penetration, is followed by ample and polished flavors, sensual and classy, caressing tannins, major length, and a firm, powerful close which promises another decade and a half of life.
