For a supposed early drinker the 2011 Beaumont could have done with a tick less tannin. It's well concentrated though and if it can shed some of the dryness will be ok.

54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot. Bright, lively crimson. Heady oaky nose. This one is trying to sail above the vintage's disadvantages but with quite a bit of tonnelier make-up, I feel. Rather sour fruit. (JR)

Blackish crimson. Slightly leafy black fruit. Pretty firm and dry and rather hard work on the finish, fresh nevertheless and the tannins are not aggressive, just very firm. (JH)
