Score 92/100 · Drink 2007-2020, Robert Parker, Oct 2005
Produced from 15-year-old vines, the elegant, still primary and grapy 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals notes of black currants, cassis, liquid minerals, and subtle wood in its rich, intense, medium to full-bodied personality. It should hit its prime in 2-3 years, and last for 10-15. If I had to select the number one Australian winery, it would be hard not to choose the Greenock Creek Winery, run by the humble, shy Michael and Annabelle Waugh. The quality that emerges from this estate is extraordinary. In short, these are thrilling, world-class wines that are about as compelling as wine can be.
