Score 94/100 · Drink 2018-2035, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, May 2018

Pale to medium gold in color, the 1998 Rayne-Vigneau has a nose that sports tantalizingly youthful lemon curd, peach cobbler and honeysuckle notes with hints of candied ginger and lime leaves. Refreshing, wonderfully zippy and vibrant, this is still incredibly youthful, with plenty of style and grace, finishing on a compelling mineral note.

Delicate honeyed nose that is more complex than d'Arche. with greater depth. On the palate there are notes of butterscotch and orange blossom, unctuous in texture with a delicate honeyed mid-palate, almost Gewurztraminer in style. Moderate complexity. Good powerful finish. Fine. Tasted June 2001.||(No tasting note was provided in Issue 128. We have instead included the text of the tasting note from the 2000 Neal Martin’s Wine Journal) Wine Advocate.April, 2000
