Good pale color. Reticent nose hints at violet and earth. Similarly tight in the mouth and perhaps a bit youthfully disjointed, with a firm acid spine framing the citrus and floral flavors. Sappy and juicy Meursault but a bit aggressive, even tannic on the finish, with hints of acacia flower and minerals. This should reward four or five years of aging.

Cask sample. More obviously mineral than most of his wines. Rather grown up and super-refreshing. Brisk even. Very substantial and chewy. Quite an ambitious price for a lieu dit! But wonderful attack right along the palate. Long and super-clean. Matron would approve. (JR)

Classic lemon and mineral aromas complicated by toast and hazelnut; an essence of Meursault. Fat and generous but not at all heavy, thanks to nicely integrated, nervy acidity and a lively lemon flavor. This has all the elements to make an excellent bottle.
