Grapes sourced from 85% Barossa, 15% Clare and Coonawarra, 100% new oak, American hogsheads. 3.36ph. John Duval winemaker, and the first vintage that Grange Hermitage simply became Grange.

Very bright and glowing. Fresh, vibrant nose. Dry finish after quite demanding fruit that’s bordering on hard. Will it ever come round? (JR)

This is a charmingly brash and impressively bold expression with blueberry, blackberry and mocha ,as well as cedary oak. The palate is very fleshy, concentrated and dense with a sturdy bed of polished and long tannins. Such impressive length, youthfulness and power. Wow! Drink or hold.
