Tasting notes
A St. Emilion fruit bomb, the 2003 Croix de Labrie continues to be voluptuously textured, fat and plush with sweet tannin in addition to copious black cherry and black currant fruit intermixed with hints of incense and truffle. Enjoy it over the next 3-4 years.

Not quite clean on the nose. Lots of acidity. Not integrated. A harsh mouthful. (JR)
Ruby-red. Slightly exotic aromas of black cherry, violet, minerals, licorice and spices. Supple and moderately dense, with vinous flavors of black cherry, black raspberry, minerals and licorice. A very successful all-merlot 2003 with good lift. A saignee was done to further concentrate the must.
