Score 78/100 · Drink 2021, Neal Martin, Oct 2022
The 1978 Cantenac Brown was served at the property although the bottle had been bought a couple of weeks earlier for this vertical. Showing moderate bricking on the rim, it has a very mentholated, slightly Porty nose, rustic and fatigued. The palate is fully mature with light tannins, a little green and tapering sharply towards the ferrous and astringent finish. Past its best. Tasted at the Cantenac Brown vertical at the château.
