Tasting notes
A treat of a gift from Yew Lin Goh of Singapore, born in 1959 which inspired three other wines served at this indulgent dinner. Rich and vegy on the nose. Such life and containment – a wine that really developed in the glass. Full of spicy sweetness that was far from its dominant attribute, there was so much going on underneath. The finish was savoury not sweet and the whole caboodle was just so refreshing and appetising. No hurry whatsoever to drink this! (JR)

About the producer

The wines of Henri Jayer (1922-2006) have mythical status in Burgundy. Coveted by many but tasted by just a precious few, they are some of the region’s rarest and most desirable – considered by some to be the pinnacle of what can be achieved with Pinot Noir.
