Tasting notes
Dark red. Knockout nose offers ineffable scents of black raspberry, redcurrant, potpourri spices, crushed stone, graphite and blood orange. Tightly wound but already compellingly sweet, with terrific energy to its concentrated, classy red fruit and mineral flavors. Particularly impressive on the explosive, utterly vibrant finish, which saturates the mouth with perfume. This is better than Echezeaux has any right to be.

Bright, deep color. Expressive nose offers redcurrant, tobacco and spicy oak. Fine-grained and elegant in texture, with excellent inner-mouth energy and a noble rusticity to the sexy flavors of red fruits, fresh blood and leather. Finishes bright and long.
Mid ruby. Hints of meat and coffee on the nose. A little fresh but there is some flesh here too. Serious wine. Bone-dry finish. (JR)
About the producer

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
