Score 91-94/100 · Allen Meadows, Burghound
A deft touch of wood sets off fresh aromas of Granny Smith apples, lavender, white flowers, petrol and wet stone. There is good power, size, weight and detail to the sleekly muscular flavors that possess a cool mouth feel yet the finish is explosively long. The energy and pungent minerality are attractive but what I really like here is the excellent balance as all of the elements are in harmony. This will need time however and it will probably not be especially approachable young. Tasted: Jun 11, 2013. Drink: 2021+
