Tasting notes
Magnum in fine fettle and nowhere near its peak, apparently. (Though I have suggested drink dates for the regular 75-cl bottle size.) Dark garnet with quite an evolved rim. Pure, intense nose. Very Cabernet. Round and ripe with a notably savoury edge to it. A note of leafy compost – in a very good way! Clean. medium weight, satisfying and quite long with only the lightest tannic signature left. (JR)

This is a seductive, charming, fruity offering with plenty of dark fruits, medium body, soft tannin, and considerable elegance. Enjoy it over the next 7-8 years.
About the producer

In the south of Margaux, this property has 36 hectares of vines. There’s an unusually large proportion of Petit Verdot (13%) in the vineyard, something which the team feels adds finesse, concentration and a spicy finish to the wine.
