This medium-to-full-bodied wine possesses an explosive cherry, blackberry, spice and fresh herb-flavored character in its elegant, silky personality. Aromatic redcurrant, smoke and mint nose seems riper than that of the '96. Juicy, tactile and fresh in the mouth. Even fuller than the Clos des Chenes, though that wine is slightly longer. Fairly tannic, but the tannins are ripe.
