One of Rousseau's top wines in 1987 was his excellent Gevrey Chambertin-Clos St.-Jacques. It is not quite up to the quality of the 1986 or 1985, but is still a very good, opulently fruity wine with expansive, sweet, smoky, Pinot Noir fruit on the palate, good spicy oak, and a moderately long finish. It should last until 1998-2000.
