If I had just one of these excellent wines to buy, it would be the Clos St.-Jacques, which has layers of sweet fruit and will be significantly less expensive than the Clos de Beze or Chambertin. The tannin is ripe and hard rather than the dry and astringent tannins caused by rot. This wine requires a minimum of another 5 years of cellaring.
