Dark fruited and spicy on the nose but smells more like a liqueur. Dry and rather mean on the palate. (JH)

A well-known Cru Bourgeois, the 2011 Lanessan is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot. While tannic and austere for a Lanessan, it shows good purity, adequate ripeness, and a tough-textured finish. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.

From 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot, the wine will be aged in 33% new oak. This wine is lightly colored, medium bodied, and ends with fresh cranberry flavors. theWineCellarInsider.com
