Score 16/20 · Drink 2014-2028, James Lawther MW, jancisrobinson.com, Jun 2023
38% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 23% Petit Verdot, 9% Cabernet Franc. 61.01 hl/ha. Harvested 23 September to 18 October. Deep, bright garnet. Lighter at the rim. Dark fruit with a herbaceous note. Palate bright and lifted with perhaps a touch more focus than 2003. Length and grip on the finish, the tannins fairly vigorous. Classic if robust. (JL)

Mid crimson. Sweet and floral but not very concentrated. Then some dusty tannins. So not a beauty overall with a bitter finish. Awkward. But this wooed many other tasters. (JR)

Firm dark crimson. Sweet tea-leaf nose. Full and actually quite juicy fruit on the palate. Very dry and mineral on the finish. Very dry end. (JR)
