Score 82/100 · Drink 2020, Neal Martin, Jul 2020
The 1995 Meyney has a rather nondescript bouquet that is severely lacking in fruit. The palate is better than the nose implies, featuring light, very minty red fruit, but it fades dramatically on the hollow finish. Tasted at a vertical at Château Meyney.

Dark crimson with evolved rim. Classic, well-mannered nose. Quite inky fruit but no great intensity. The inkiness will probably always be like there. Serve with chewy meat! (JR)

Warm, round, but with a nice kick of freshness. Lively, gouleyant, savoury. Very neat finish. (JR)
