Tasting notes
Luscious, sweet, all-enveloping bouquet. Some mushrooms and lots of gentle sweetness with just a hint of something metallic. Very pointed and focused on the finish. Drier tannins than the Nuits. Jewel-bright fruit but this still needs time. (JR)

Light ruby. More positive and concentrated on the nose than most. Smudgy and perfumed, rather heady. Gentle texture. Some vivacity. Quite a bit of fresh, palate-cleansing tannin. (JR)
Good medium red. Sappy red cherry and briary herbs and spices on the nose, with a high note of blood orange. Juicy, tight, pure and dry; on the lean side but this offers good ripeness and enticing minerality. Finishes with dusty tannins, a suggestion of fresh herbs and excellent verve. This very young wine really needs a good four or five years of cellaring and may eventually merit an outstanding rating.
Good healthy deep red. Precise, high-pitched raspberry, crushed stone and floral aromas. Sweet and dense if not quite as pristine as the village wine; tangy black raspberry and mint flavors. Just a touch dry on the end today.
