Dark crimson. Big and sinewy with creamy sweet notes but a refreshing finish too. Like a very fine latte. A bit sinewy on the end. Quite a bit of acidity. (JR)

Very deep garnet-purple colored, the 2009 Samantha's Garden Shiraz is vibrantly scented of crushed blackberries and fresh blackcurrant with hints of Provence herbs, tree bark and cloves. Full bodied with plenty of rich, ripe black berry flavors in the mouth, it has a medium to firm level of rounded tannins and lively acid, finishing long and pure. Approachable now, it should cellar to 2018+. No known USA importer.

Deep ruby. Sexy, oak-spiced aromas of blackberry, candied plum and cola. Broad and lush, with sweet dark fruit compote flavors displaying impressive breadth and depth. Supple tannins provide support and the fruit takes on a brighter red berry tone on the finish, which clings with impressive authority.

Gorgeous on the nose, the 2009 Two Hands Shiraz Samantha's Garden has distinctive, exotic aromas of lilacs, chamomile, and potpourri on the nose that are supported by gorgeously pure raspberry and blackberry styled fruits. The purity and complexity on the nose are certainly noteworthy, and on the palate, the wine is medium to full bodied with a seamless, silky texture, superb balance, solid acidity, and a classy finish. Given how approachable (and complex) this is already, I don’t see any reason to hold off; however, it should easily evolve and age gracefully for 8-10 years.
