Mid shaded crimson. Tea leaves and menthol and real interest on the nose. Fresh and charming. Lots of acidity. Some slightly greenish notes. Seems lighter and drier than the 1996 Pauillac. (JR)

Latour offers a third wine which seems to be particularly impressive in 1995 and 1996. It is simply called Pauillac. The 1995 Pauillac exhibits a classic black currant nose with notes of minerals, licorice, and spice. There is good sweetness, medium body, soft tannin, and a classy finish. It should drink well for 7-8 years.
