Tasting notes
Very appealing, well-balanced perfumed fruity essence with some earthiness. Juicy and ready and open. Just the job for current drinking. (JR)

The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has a precise bouquet of pomegranate seeds and fresh strawberry furnishing the well-defined, crisp bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp red cherry fruit on the entry, crisp acidity, and a precision and focus toward the finish that would not embarrass a premier cru. Excellent. Drink now-2018. Importer: Lea & Sandeman (UK)
Plenty of fragrant oak and violet scent. Not quite as complete as the Huguenot Marsannays tasted immediately before, but certainly has the firm structure of Gevrey. (RH)
Very shaded ruby. Light nose. Very fresh and well etched and clean – a sort of feminine touch. Far from heavy. The delicate face of Gevrey? Well balanced. But very cool and relatively light. (JR)
