Beginning to reveal a touch of dry tannins in the finish, this opulent, medium-bodied 2003 fruit-bomb still offers plenty of black cherry and black currant aromas and flavors. Lush, round, heady and succulent, it should be consumed over the near-term because of the tannin issue in the finish.

Flowers and berries with hints of Indian spices on the nose. This is very perfumed. Medium bodied, with lovely fruit and fine tannins. A bit austere, but with bright acidity.

A classic St.-Emilion fruit bomb, the medium to full-bodied 2004 Pipeau is loaded with black cherry and cassis fruit. Lush and opulent with no hard edges or angularity, this in-your-face offering will please the masses. Bordeaux needs more wines that deliver this kind of character and quality at this price point.
