Vegetation, rather attractive vegetation, on the nose. Tight knit, tense, exciting wine with more to come. Racy. Very fresh, clean and brisk. (JR)

This wine seemed extremely youthful, even green. Light, slightly floral nose. Tangy acidity. I would give this another couple of years in bottle. (JR)
Shy nose hints at apple skin, pear, minerals and stone before closing down in the glass. Concentrated and densely packed, with youthfully disjointed flavors of apple skin, caraway seed, flowers, spices and nut skin. Shows the thickness and slightly edgy quality of so many 1995s. Nutty and persistent on the finish. Needs a year or two to round into shape.
