Tasting notes
More concentrated than the lean, angular 1995, but still pushing the tannin limit, this saturated ruby-colored wine possesses berry, cassis fruit, good spice, medium body, and ten years of ageability.

Very good deep red-ruby. Ripe aromas of cassis, smoke and earth. Broad and supple in the mouth, with sound acids and a flavor of cassis. Rather tannic on the finish, but with just enough buffering material.
About the producer

Owned by the négociant Dourthe, this Moulis property has 87 hectares of vines today (with 67 added by Philippe Dourthe since 1967). Managed and made by an expert team, the quality here is hardly surprising.
