(tasted from tank; this was previously in 50% new oak): Deep red. Ripe aromas of dark raspberry, bitter chocolate and espresso. Flavors of crushed dark berries and tart cranberry are a bit hardened on the back end by slightly tough, oak-driven tannins. Not easy to taste today.

Racked end August. Racy and leafy on the nose – a bit skinnier than some 2010s. Masses of acidity. Chewy end with red-currant fruit. Crunchy stuff. (JR)
A discreet touch of wood frames fresh and pure essence of red Pinot fruit aromas that are in keeping with the supple, forward and delicious flavors that are very Chambollesque in character, all wrapped in a balanced and almost delicate finish. A wine of finesse. 89-91 Points
