Tar and licorice aromas, with dark fruits underneath. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and a medium finish. A little hard
Tasted at Vintex. This has a well defined, pure, cedar and cigar-box tinged nose that really appeal. The palate is well defined with firm structure married with good fruit intensity, a touch of spice on the poised, delineated, tannic finish that augurs well for the future. This is a fine Listrac ’09. Tasted March 2010
Another wine that has been widely available in the United States for many years, this blend of 56% Merlot and the rest mostly Cabernet Sauvignon boasts lots of black cherry fruit intermixed with incense, Christmas fruitcake and spice box in a soft, round, medium-bodied, very elegant style. Drink it over the next 5-6 years. Feb 2012, www.robertparker.com
