2007 Nuits St Georges Les Chaboeufs

Good medium red. Blackberry and spicy oak on the nose, along with a leathery, gamey nuance. Juicy and spicy in the mouth, but not a particularly fruity style. There's a saline quality here, along with suggestions of cocoa, mocha and pepper. These vines were picked in several passes and do not appear to have ripened as well as the Boudots.
