Tasting notes

Tasting notes
Score 84/100 · Drink 1986, Robert Parker, Jan 1998

The 1975 is dark ruby in color, with a stalky, vegetal note to an otherwise attractive bouquet. Ripe, round, deep fruit has an aggressive, rustic texture to it, and despite the wine's concentration and hefty proportions, the overall impression is one of coarseness. A good wine that just misses being excellent. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 6/86.
