Tasting notes
Tasted at the Sauternes 2006 ten-year on horizontal in Bordeaux. The 2006 Sigalas Rabaud has a curious bouquet with peach skin and lanolin aromas, perhaps just a touch of volatile acidity here giving it lift. The palate is medium-bodied with fine balance, although the second feels a little abrasive and bitter compared to others. Tasted April 2016.

Deep gold. Introvert, vegy nose. Not that sweet. Ticks the boxes but is just a little dull. Not much richness nor obvious botrytis. Very marked acidity. (JR)
Tangy with some boiled caramel notes. Not as rich and dense as some. Very chewy. (JR)
Some volatility. Big and round and easy but no tension there. A rather burnt note. Lots of acidity. Not integrated and a bit raw. (JR)
