Tasting notes
One of the stars of the vintage, Rauzan-Segla's 1992 is an uncommonly rich, opulent wine with an impressively saturated dark ruby/purple color, and a forceful, penetrating fragrance of black cherries, currants, spicy oak, smoke, and flowers. The wine is medium to full-bodied, with gorgeously sweet, rich layers of fruit, ripe tannin, and a long, heady, voluptuously-textured finish. Only 50% of the production went into the 1992 Rauzan-Segla, resulting in a brilliant wine for this tough vintage. Drink it over the next decade. Last tasted 11/94
