Pale straw-yellow. Oily citrus fruits and spicy high tones on the nose. The palate offers lovely clarity and elegance, with a flavor of crystallized lemon further sharpened by penetrating acidity. Not particularly pliant today but intensely flavored and very persistent. (As in most years, I must make note of Ente's uncommonly good Aligote and Bourgogne Blanc bottlings in 2011, the former showing an attractive balance of leesy complexity and citrus lift, the latter a bit creamier in the mouth, combining exotic citrus and pie crust flavors and juicy acidity. Both wines merit 88 points.)

60% fruit from Ormeaux and 40% from Castets ‘which brings a bit of relaxation’. Very opulent, rich nose and then some tension on the palate. Tight and youthful. Chalky finish. (JR)

Bright pale yellow. Lemon curd and a minty nuance on the nose. Juicy, fresh and lemony; not a fleshy wine but boasts lovely floral lift and sappy, saline minerality. Finishes with very good energy and persistence. (The Bourgogne Blanc similarly offers noteworthy cut and precision, with bracing flavors of grapefruit and dill; I found it riper than the Aligote and well worth recommending.)

A typical Meursault nose of acacia blossom, hazelnut, pear and white peach introduces precise and intense medium-bodied flavors that possess a really lovely mouth feel thanks to the abundant dry extract. There is good breadth if only slightly better than average depth to the dry but not particularly austere finish. A solid if not truly exceptional villages. Tasted: Jun 11, 2013. Drink: 2017+
