(bottled in April; an assemblage of parcels, with about two-thirds of the vines located on the hillside): Bright pale yellow. Sexy, nuanced aromas of white peach and hazelnut lifted by white flowers. Mineral and floral qualities give freshness to the mid-palate and leaven the wine's fleshiness. This very pure village wine shows lovely balance and a firm-edged finish.

Fichet's 2011 Meursault makes for a fine introduction to the wines of this house. A bright, precise, layered wine, the 2011 has plenty of personality and class. In keeping with the house style, the flavors are focused and nicely chiseled. The Meursault is a blend of a number of lieux-dits including: Clous, Charmes de Narvaux, Crillots, Limousin, En Petit Millerands.
Very correct and readable on the nose. A little lacking in richness on the palate. Correct though. (JR)
There is a distinct hazelnut character to the white and yellow orchard fruit aromas that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is good richness to the lightly mineral-inflected medium-bodied flavors that possess a fine sense of energy on the saline, clean and dry finish. A lovely villages that should repay 5 to 7 years of aging. Tasted: Jun 11, 2013. Drink: 2017+
